For its Québec regional office located in Montréal, IBC is seeking candidates for the following position:
Risk management specialist
Contractual Part-Time Position (6 months contract, with possibility of renewal)
The Montreal office of the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is seeking a risk management specialist with at least 10 years of experience, and an advanced understanding of the Quebec commercial insurance market. Experience in the restaurant and hospitality sectors will be a considerable asset.
During this six-month part-time commitment as an independent contractor (with the possibility of an extension), the successful applicant will be required to work directly with business owners and their insurance companies or representatives, to conduct a risk assessment and identify solutions that will help them obtain appropriate insurance coverage. Interactions with business owners are likely to be predominantly in French.
The number of hours worked each week may vary depending on the demand for this service offered to businesses. Compensation will be based on time spent on each file, at a predetermined hourly rate. The files to be processed will be identified and referred by IBC, via its Insurance Information Centre.
The successful candidate may also be asked to contribute, with IBC, to building a general awareness, by businesses, of the importance of developing and implementing appropriate risk management measures to control loss exposure and increase the likelihood of obtaining commercial insurance at the most competitive cost.
If you are known for your organizational skills, customer-oriented approach, autonomy and enthusiasm, please send us your resume along with a cover letter supporting your candidacy to: email@example.com.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
We would like to thank all candidates. However, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
